Salesmate Chats provides customers or users to download and email a copy of their chat transcripts.
What's included in the transcript?
- Data and time with proper timezone, mentioning when the conversation started
- All replies in the conversation with respective timestamps
- Customer and Teammate's names
- Date and time when the transcript is exported
What's not included in the transcript?
- Timeline entries of any chat like snooze, close or internal assignment events
- Team notes
- CC / BCC
- Images, Attachments, or GIFs
The transcript contains only the names of Images, Attachments, or GIFs
How can users download or email transcripts?
To download a transcript, follow these simple steps:
- Open the required conversation
- Click on the More Icon shown as three dots at the top of the conversation panel
- Select the download option, and then click on 'Export as text'
Chat transcript will download in the form of a text file
To email the chat transcript, follow these simple steps:
- Follow the same steps as above and click on 'Email chat'
- You can modify the email address to which you want to send the transcript
- Once you are done with your changes, Hit Send
The chat transcript is sent to the email address mentioned above.
How a visitor or customer can download the chat transcript?
Visitors or Customers can download the chat transcript directly from the Chat widget. They will see a download icon on the header of the Chat, and clicking on the download icon will export the chat transcript in text format.
Notes:
- The email will be sent from noreply@salesmatemail.com with the user's name.
- If the user has done the DKIM, then it will be sent with the user's name and email address.
