Custom Field: Add new custom field type that allows us to pick salesmate users

It would be nice if I could add a custom field that lets me select and/or multi select from the list of salesmate users.

For example:

In our sales process we assign ownership of a company or contact to sales reps only after they win a deal with tied to the company or contact.

So when they start the deal, the contact and company linked to the deal belongs to the sales manager user and the deal itself belongs to the sales rep working the deal. Once they win the deal, we create a automation that automatically updates the related contacts and companies with the sales rep who won the deal as the new owner.

However, we also would like to allow sales reps to lose a deal and have another shot at that company and contact that was in the deal at a later time. When they lose the deal the ownership of the company or contact remains tied to the sales manager... which means other sales reps can go in an poach that company or contact. 

 

To solve this we want to create a custom field in company and contact called "Hold for Rep" and the values in this field would be a dropdown select with all the salesmate users. When a deal is lost we can place a hold on that company by updating the "Hold for Rep" field so when another reps sees that they know to leave that company or contact alone. Its reserved for the original rep.

We plan on adding a time based automation to eventually remove this hold is the rep who originally lost the deal does not start a new deal after 60 days.

So, long story short... a new custom field that lets us chose from list of salesmate users would be useful.
