Salesmate allows you to create a trigger for running Chat Journeys for conversations via WhatsApp.
Note: WhatsApp Channel needs to be installed to use WhatsApp Trigger for Chat Journeys
To create a Chat Journey with WhatsApp Trigger,
- Navigate to the Chat Journey from left sidebar
- Click on + New Journey
- A popup asking you to choose from below options:
- Web Widget
- Choose WhatsApp and click on the Select option
- Once you choose WhatsApp then the canvas will open with available Actions.
- Click on the Start Journey block to configure it
- Here, you need to select the following,
Select Number
- If you have only one number then it will be selected automatically
- If you have multiple numbers connected to WhatsApp, you can choose either the selected number or opt for Any to trigger the journey based on the selected action.
Execute On
Choose when the Journey should start

When the Conversation is started for the first time: You can select this option and include a message to set up an instant reply or a greeting message.
- When an incoming message is received: You can select this trigger to execute whenever an incoming message is received.

When Visitor says: You can select from the following option
- Custom Word: Select this option to Trigger the Journey when a WhatsApp user sends a message containing specific keyword based on Custom Text entered here.
- Greetings: Select this option to Trigger the Journey when a WhatsApp user sends a message containing the Greetings specific keyword
- Gratitude: Select this option to Trigger the Journey when a WhatsApp user sends a message containing the Gratitude specific keyword
- Once done click on Save.
- Choose the Actions based on the required outcome.
- Once the Journey is completed, click on Save and Publish the Journey.
- You can then go to Settings to change the Scheduling Options as well as Display options. Learn More
