Twilio's integration with WhatsApp enables businesses to leverage the popular messaging platform for communication. Salesmate now provides a platform to connect WhatsApp via Twilio for chat communication.

- This integration is a part of the Salesmate Chat which requires the Chat License

How to Install WhatsApp by Twilio
- Navigate to the Conversations Icon from the left menu bar
- Select Chats
- Click Chat Settings from the bottom left corner.
- Head to the Channels Option
- Click on the “Add New Channel”
- A popup will open up with available channel options; click the Install button for WhatsApp by Twilio.
WhatsApp Installation consists of 3 steps:
Connect:
- Click on Connect
- Here you will need to provide the following information to allow Salesmate to connect with Twilio in order to establish a connection with your WhatsApp:
- Account SID: Account SID details will be obtained from your Twilio Account
- Auth Token: Auth Token will be obtained from your Twilio Account
- WhatsApp Number: A number approved by Twilio
- Once done, click on Next
Configure:
- Once you click on the Next option, you will be directed to the Configure screen
- Here, you would need to copy the Webhook URL and paste it to Twilio fields
- Then click on Next
Channel Access:
- You will now be redirected to the Channel Access screen
- Here, you can grant access chat access to,
- Invite Everyone to Chat: This will allow everyone with a chat license to respond to the channel’s conversations

- Invite selected Users: This will allow only the selected Users with a chat license to respond to the channel's conversations
- Once done click on Finish
How would WhatsApp Messages appear in Salesmate
- Once the number is successfully connected, you will now be able to receive and manage the incoming chats from the connected WhatsApp Numbers
How to Uninstall WhatsApp by Twilio
- Navigate to the Conversations Icon from the left menu bar
- Select Chats
- Click Chat Settings from the bottom left corner.
- Head to the Channels Option
- Select WhatsApp by Twilio and click on the three dots available at the corner right
- Select Uninstall
- Confirm removing the Channel and click on Uninstall
