How to Configure Subscription Preference Updated Trigger
- While creating the Trigger-Based Flows, select the Subscription Preference Changed trigger.
- Once selected, you would then need to configure the block.
As you click on the block, a pop-up will open to add the following details.

Subscription Type: Choose whether you want the trigger to run for any subscription type or a specific subscription type.
- Any: The flow will trigger when the contact changes their preference for any subscription type.
- Specific Subscription Type: Select a subscription type from the list of active subscription types. The flow will trigger only when the contact changes their preference for the selected subscription type.
- The default value is Any.

Opt-in Status: Choose the subscription preference status for which you want the trigger to execute.
- Opted-in: The flow will trigger when the contact opts in to the selected subscription type.
- Opted-out: The flow will trigger when the contact opts out of the selected subscription type.
- Any: The flow will trigger when the contact either opts in or opts out.
- The default value is Any.
- Once done, Save the information.
Practical Example
You want to automatically add the record to the list when a contact changes their email subscription preference. For example, you may want to take a specific action when a contact opts out of marketing emails or opts back in to receive them.
