What can you do with AI Studio?
AI Studio allows you to create agents for different business use cases. Depending on how you want to use an agent, you can:
- Talk with Sandy: Ask questions, summarize CRM information, draft responses, and take approved actions through conversation.
- Run as a Task: Run an agent from a CRM record, list, or workspace action to complete structured business work.
- Run with Smart Flow: Connect a task agent to a Smart Flow so it can run automatically based on a trigger, schedule, or condition.

- Agent Instructions
- Agent Skills
- Tools
- CRM Data Access
- Knowledge Sources
- User Inputs for Background Agents
- Smart Flow automation
- Run Owner and approvals
- User Access
- Model Settings
The available configuration options may vary based on your permissions and the capabilities enabled for your workspace.
What are AI Studio Agents?
An Agent is an AI-powered capability designed to perform a specific business job.
For example, you could create an agent that:
- Reviews a deal and identifies potential risks.
- Qualifies new leads.
- Summarizes customer information.
- Drafts a follow-up email.
- Reviews an account and identifies opportunities or risks.
AI Studio uses a few key concepts to help you create and manage agents:
- Skills: Reusable business expertise that helps an agent handle a specific type of task.
- CRM Data: The CRM information an agent is allowed to access.
- Knowledge: Approved business information an agent can use when completing a task.
- Actions: The tasks an agent can perform in Salesmate. Actions are controlled by the permissions and policies configured for the agent.
Running an Agent
When an agent runs, Salesmate creates a Run representing that execution.
A run contains information about the agent's execution, such as its status, inputs, processing steps, actions, and any errors that occurred.
Depending on the agent configuration, an action may require approval before it is performed.
Using Agents with Smart Flow
You can connect a task agent to a Smart Flow to automate its execution.
Smart Flow can start the agent based on:
- Trigger
- Schedule
- Condition
The Smart Flow provides the event or conditions that determine when the task agent should run.
Note:
- Your access to create and manage agents depends on your Salesmate permissions.
- If you don't have permission to create agents, the Create from scratch option may not be available.
- Task agents can be run manually or through Smart Flow
- Agents can only access the CRM data and knowledge allowed by their configuration and permissions.
- Actions performed by agents are subject to the applicable policies and approval requirements
