7. Automatically add Google contacts as a Salesmate Contact is created Follow

In Zapier, follow the below steps to create your Zap:

• Click on +Create Zap

• Choose a Trigger App: Salesmate

• Select the Trigger Event: New Contact

• Click on Continue.
• Sign in to your preferred Salesmate account.

Select an existing account or Connect to a new Salesmate account Next, you'll be asked to name your Salesmate connection and enter your API Key. To locate your API Key in your Salesmate account, please follow these steps:

•  First login in to your  Salesmate Link
• Login into your Salesmate Link ex. https://demo.salesmate.io using your credentials
• Navigate to the Profile Icon on top right corner.
• Go to My Account
• Click on Access Key
• Copy the Session key to the clipboard. 

Paste your key back into your Zapier account and then “Continue”. If your API key is entered correctly your Salesmate account will now be successfully connected.

• Click on Continue again.
• Now, you'll get an option to Test the trigger to check if the connected Salesmate account is correct or not.

• As you click on Test Trigger, you should get the results of the latest Record created for that particular account.

• Click on Continue with Selected Record if the given results seem correct, if you wish to get another result click on Find New Records
• Next Setup the Action (This action will be based on the application you wish to integrate Salesmate with)
• Select the Action App: Google Contacts

• Select the Action Event: Create Contact
• Click on Continue.

• Connect your preferred Google Account.

• Click on Continue.
• Setup Google Contacts Contact (This is mapping of Salesmate and Google Contact fields)

• Click on Continue
• Here you get an option to Test Step.

• Click on Test Step to see if the records are been updated correctly to Google Contacts.

• Go to your Google Contacts, if the contact is getting created correctly, you can go ahead and Publish the Zap.
• Your Zap is all set!!!
• Name it, Enable it, and Save.

If you wish to push the contacts from Google to Salesmate,

• Trigger app: Google Contacts
• Trigger: New or Updated Contact
• Action app: Salesmate
• Action: Find the Contact
• Mapped Key: Email
• Create Salesmate Contact if it doesn't exist yet.

Note: This is not "contact sync" if you wish to achieve contact sync i.e. keep both sides updated upon new contacts created or existing ones updated try our Piesync integration.
