Note: Shutdown of Unregistered 10DLC Messaging
- You need to purchase at least one number to register for A2P 10DLC
- All SMS and MMS messages sent to US phone numbers from unregistered 10DLC phone numbers will be fully blocked after August 31, 2023.
- 10DLC phone numbers must be fully registered to an approved Campaign under your Brand.
- This registration deadline took effect on July 5, 2023, with unregistered phone numbers subject to a gradual increase of message blocking by Salesmate or its ISV, leading to a full block of all unregistered U.S.-bound messages sent after August 31, 2023.

A2P 10DLC registration is available through your Salesmate Account for account Owners and Admins to complete:
- Navigate to the Profile Icon on the top right corner
- Click on Setup
- Head over to Voice & Text category
- Click on Voice Apps
- Here, go to Regulatory Compliance
- To begin the registration process for US A2P 10DLC, simply click the "Register for US A2P 10DLC" button.
- This registration process consists of three simple steps:
Profile Registration
To register your profile in US A2P 10DLC, you will need to follow these steps:
Profile needs
In the profile registration, the following questions/information is asked:
- “Is the business entity you’re registering located in the US and/or Canada?”
- Yes
- No
- If Yes, then another question will popup:
- “Does the business you’re registering have a tax ID (Ex. US EIN)?”
- Yes
- No: If you have selected 'No', you will be asked to register for the Sole Proprietor.

- If you have selected the ‘Yes’ in the above question, click on the "Continue" button to move further in the profile needs section.

- "Would you like to register a Secondary customer profile?"
- Yes
- Recommended: If you selected this option, click on the Continue button to proceed to the next step (Business Details) your information will be saved at this point and a green tick will be displayed next to “Profile needs” in the left section.
- No
- If you have chosen this option then you will be redirected back to the First Page of registration.
- Yes
Business Details
- In the "Business Details" you have to provide information about your business, such as your business name, type, registration ID type, registration number, industry, website URL, and regions of operations. This information is important for verifying your business and for allowing you to register your profile in A2P 10 DLC.
Business Address
- In business address, you'll need to provide your business's address. Make sure to input accurate and up-to-date information, as this is crucial for successful registration.
Contact Information
- Next up is contact information. You'll need to provide a reliable point of contact for your authorized representative, such as First and Last name, email address, and phone number.
Review and submit
- Before finalizing your profile registration, take a moment to review all the information you've entered. Ensure that everything is correct and complete. Once you're satisfied, click the "Submit" button.
Brand Registration
After finishing your profile registration, you can go ahead and sign up for a brand. In A2P 10 DLC, there are two kinds of brand registration available:
Standard brand registration
If your profile is registered as a Standard profile, you will need to provide the following details to create a brand:
- Customer Profile
- Select the profile that you want to use for this brand. The first profile will be selected by default.
- If you have multiple profiles, make sure to select the one that is associated with the business that you are creating the brand for.
- The brand types that are available will depend on the profile that you select. For example, a Standard profile will only display Low Volume Standard and Standard brand types.
- Brand Type
- Select the type of brand that you need. There are two options:
- Low Volume Standard ($4)
- Standard ($4 + $40)
- Low Volume Standard is for businesses that sell a small number of products or services.
- Standard is for businesses that sell a larger number of products or services this includes the one-time $40 Brand Vetting fee.
- Select the type of brand that you need. There are two options:
- Company Type
- Private
- Public
- If you have chosen this, you will need to provide the relevant stock exchange and stock ticker.
- US Non-Profit
- In the US non-profit you have chosen you will be asked the following questions:
- Are you a 527 organization?
- Yes: If you have selected this option then you have to provide the campaign verification token
- No
- Are you a 527 organization?
- In the US non-profit you have chosen you will be asked the following questions:
- US Government
- I consent to agree to pay for a one-time $4-$44 A2P Brand registration fee. Learn more: Check this box to agree to the terms and conditions.
- Click on "Pay and Register", You will need to pay a one-time $4-$44 A2P brand registration fee depending on your brand selection.
Sole Proprietor brand registration
- Navigate to the Apps & Add-Ons >> Voice >> Regulatory Compliance page.
- Click on the "Register New Brand" button.
- In the pop-up window, select the following options:
- Customer Profile: The first profile will be selected by default. If you have multiple profiles, select the one that you want to use for this brand.
- What type of brand do you need?: If you have selected the sole proprietor profile then "Sole Proprietor Brand" will be autoselected.
- Brand Name: Enter the name of your brand.
- Vertical: Select the relevant vertical for your brand.
- Phone number: Enter a valid US/Canadian mobile number for OTP verification.
- I consent to receive OTP messages on the above phone and agree to pay a one-time $4 A2P brand registration fee.: Check this box to agree to the terms and conditions.
- Click on "Pay and Register", You will need to pay a one-time $4 A2P brand registration fee.
Campaign Registration
Once the brand registration is done and verified, you can register for a campaign.
- Navigate to the Apps & Add-Ons >> Voice >> Regulatory Compliance page.
- Click on the "Register New Campaign" button.
- In the pop-up window, you need to provide the information that is asked.
- Campaign name - You have to provide a unique name for your campaign.
- A2P Brand - In case of multiple brands you can select the brand for which you are creating the campaign otherwise the default selected brand cannot be changed.
- Available A2P Campaign use cases - The type of messages you will be sending, such as marketing, customer service, or transactional messages.
- Select Text Messaging Service - Select the messaging service you will be using to send your messages.
(To comply with regulations, you must link your campaign to a text messaging service. You can search for an existing service or create a new one. If you create a new service, a pop-up will appear to create a "New Text Messaging service".) - Campaign Description - Provide a brief description of your campaign.
- Sample Message #1 - A sample message that you will be sending.
- Sample Message #2 - A sample message that you will be sending.
- Message Contents - Whether your messages will include embedded links or phone numbers..
- How do end-users consent to receive messages? - In this, you should describe how end users opt-in to the campaign, therefore giving consent to the sender to receive their messages.
- Opt-in Keywords -The keywords that your end-users can use to opt in to receive messages from you.
- Opt-in Message - The message that your end-users will receive when they opt-in to receive messages from you.
- I consent to agree to pay for a one-time amount A2P Campaign registration fee. Learn more: Check this box to agree to the terms and conditions.
- Click on "Pay and Register", You will need to pay a one-time $4 A2P brand registration fee.

A2P 10DLC Registration Verification Statuses
When you register for A2P 10DLC, your registration will go through three distinct statuses:
- Approved: This status means that your profile, brand, and campaign have been successfully approved by the Compliance carriers. You can now start sending messages.
- In Review: The In Review status means that your registration is currently being reviewed by the Compliance carriers. This could take two to three weeks, depending on the volume of registrations Salesmate is currently processing.
- Declined: This status means that your profile has been declined by the Compliance carriers. There are a few reasons why this might happen, such as if you have not provided all of the required information or if your profile does not meet the regulatory requirements.
- Failed: This status means that your brand or campaign has been declined by the Compliance carriers. This might happen if your brand or campaign does not meet the regulatory requirements.
