If you don't need the WhatsApp Template any longer, you can delete them.
To Delete the Templates,
- Navigate to the Conversation Inbox Icon from the left menu bar
- Click on Chats
- Head over to the Chat Settings
- Click on the Channels
- Head to the Connected Channels and click on the preferred WhatsApp channel
- Select the number and click on the three dots
- Select Manage Template option
- Hover over the template that you want to delete and choose “Delete” option in the Actions.
- A confirmation popup would appear
- For the Approved Templates the following pop up would appear
- Confirm to continue deleting the Template
Note:
- If you delete a template that has been sent in a conversation as a message but has yet to be delivered (e.g. because the customer's phone is turned off), the template's status will be set to “Pending Deletion” and WhatsApp will attempt to deliver the message for 30 days.
- Names of an approved template that has been deleted cannot be used again for 30 days.
- When the WhatsApp channel is removed, its templates are deleted automatically.
