Configuring WhatsApp template variables involves defining placeholders within message templates that will be dynamically replaced with specific information when the template is used.
To configure WhatsApp Template Variables,
- Navigate to the Conversation Inbox Icon from the left menu bar
- Click on Chats
- Head over to the Chat Settings
- Click on the Channels
- Head to the Connected Channels and click on the preferred WhatsApp channel
- Select the number and click on the three dots
- Select Manage Template option
- Hover on the template and choose “Configure Variables” from the action menu, and a popup will appear
- When you click on the ‘Configure Variable’ button a popup will be displayed that shows you the list of default variables and mapping fields for the Salesmate variable and its preview of the template is shown.
- Click on the Variable Icon, it will open a pop to Map from the Contact, Company, Deal or Owner Variables
- Once you select one, it gets inserted to the field
- Once done click on Save
Note:
- The system will fetch the latest open deal associated with the contact, and show its details (if it exists).
- In case of fetching company data, the priority will be given to the company associated with the contact, and if not found then will fetch company details associated with the deal ( if exists, else empty data).
- You can only provide Salesmate variables here
