You can add an unsubscribe link to your emails using templates that are sent from the Contact / Activity / Deal page or using compose email in Inbox or Gmail Chrome extensions and mobile applications.
This link allows recipients to opt out of receiving such emails from your account. Adding unsubscribe links to your email communications can help you move toward compliance with spam laws (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL) and improve email deliverability by allowing unengaged recipients a way to opt-out.

Email Templates
To Add the Unsubscribe links to the Email Templates,
- To create email templates,
- Navigate to the More Icon on the left menu bar.
- Click on Email Templates.
- You can choose to Add the Unsubscribe link to Templates already created or click on New Template to add it in a new template.
- To add the Unsubscribe link here, click on attributes and select the Unsubscribe option under Contacts.
- It will be inserted as a variable in the Email body.
- Copy the attribute, cut - {{Contact.unsubscribe}}, type in the Unsubscribe, and go to insert a link.
- Now paste the copied attribute to the URL and click on Insert.
- Once you click on Insert Unsubscribe will now appear in your email body.
Campaign Templates
To Add the Unsubscribe links to the Campaign Templates,
- With this option, you can create a new template or can select the predefined templates.
- To add the Unsubscribe link here, drag and drop the Text block to the editor.
- You can add the Unsubscribe link by selecting the Unsubscribe option given in the toolbar.
- When the contact receives the email and hits the Unsubscribe link, upon being not interested in the offered service.
- The contact will be redirected to an unsubscribe page where he can select the reason for unsubscribing.

- The emails are inappropriate
- The emails are spam and should be reported
- Other (fill in the reason below)
- The contact will receive a success message on selecting and submitting the option.
- Under Salesmate Two Fields will be updated:
- Email Opt-Out: True
- Email Opt-Out Reason
- The Email field will be updated with red color as identification that the contact has opted out from receiving future emails.
