Cloning a quote is useful when you need to create a new quote that’s almost identical to an existing one, with only minor adjustments before publishing. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to clone a quote in Salesmate:
Steps to Clone a Quote.
- Navigate to the Quote listing or Open the specific quote.
- Click the Clone option in the Action button.
- A popup will appear with all fields pre-filled from the selected quote.
Note:
- Custom fields you don’t have access to will be excluded from the form.
- The expiry date from the original quote will be retained and not recalculated.
- The new quote will not be marked as "Syncing" by default; syncing must be done manually if needed.
- A unique quote number will be generated once saved.
- The cloned quote’s name will default to the original quote title.
By following these steps, you can easily replicate an existing quote and make quick adjustments as needed.
