The Boolean question type is used when you want to capture a simple True/False response from the person filling out your survey. This is ideal for yes/no questions, agreement confirmations, or any scenario where binary input is needed.
When added to a survey, this question will appear as a checkbox, allowing the respondent to select or leave it unchecked based on their answer.

Adding a Boolean Element to Your Survey
To include a Boolean question in your survey:
- Navigate to Surveys from the left side under Outreach.
- Open your survey from the Survey listing screen.
Create a New Survey or open an existing one.
Click Add Element.
Then select the Boolean question type.
- Once you have selected the Boolean element, you'll need to provide the following information:
- Question: This is the text that will be displayed to the survey respondent.
- Default Value: Set the default response value for this question. You can choose either True (checked) or False (unchecked).

- Mark Required: Decide whether the question should be mandatory for the respondent.
- Capture Value in Salesmate Field: If you'd like to store the response in a specific field inside Salesmate. You can choose a Boolean field from your Salesmate account to map this response to, and the field will be updated based on the customer's response.
Practical Example
This Boolean question is used to gauge a customer’s willingness to participate in future product feedback sessions. It helps the team build a list of engaged users who are open to sharing insights, testing new features, or joining usability interviews.
