The Date & Time question type allows you to collect date and time information from survey respondents. This is useful when you need to know when something happened or when scheduling-related responses are needed, such as appointments, events, or feedback timelines.

Adding a Date & Time Question
To include a Date & Time question in your survey:
- Navigate to Surveys from the left side under Outreach.
- Open your survey from the Survey listing screen.
Create a New Survey or open an existing one.
Click Add Element.
- Then select the Date & Time question type.
Once you have selected the Date & TIme element, you'll need to provide the following information:
- Question: Enter the question you want to ask. Example: “When would you like us to follow up?” or “Please select the date and time of your visit.”
- Placeholder: It appears inside the field before the user selects a date and time. Example: “Select Date and Time”.
- Mark Required: Decide whether the question should be mandatory for the respondent.
- Capture Value in Salesmate Field: If needed, you can map the selected date and time to a corresponding field in Salesmate for future use in automations or reporting.
You can click on Preview to see how the Long Text question will appear to respondents.
- Once the configuration is completed, hit Save.
Practical Use Case
Let’s say you’re conducting a survey to book demo calls or service appointments. You can add a date & time field asking "Please select a convenient date and time for a follow-up call" so respondents can easily share their availability while submitting the survey.
