The Text question type in Salesmate Surveys enables you to collect open-ended responses from participants. This format is ideal for gathering specific information, such as names, comments, email addresses, or any other short textual input.

Adding a Text Question
To include a Text question in your survey:
- Navigate to Surveys from the left side under Outreach.
- Open your survey from the Survey listing screen.

Create a New Survey or open an existing one.

Click Add Element.

Then select the Text question type.
Once you have selected the Number element, you'll need to provide the following information:
- Questions: Enter the question text that should appear in the survey.
- Placeholder: Enter a short hint or example that appears inside the input field to guide the respondent

Mark Required: Enable this to make the number field mandatory for survey submission.

Capture Value in Salesmate Field: You can map the response to any number-type custom field in Salesmate.
- Once the configuration is completed, hit Save.
