Salesmate Surveys provide diverse question formats to help you collect actionable insights. The Single Select question type allows respondents to choose exactly one answer from a predefined list. This format is ideal for questions where only a single response is appropriate, such as satisfaction ratings, Yes/No questions, or preference selection.

Adding a Single-Select Question
To include a Single-Select question in your survey:
- Navigate to Surveys from the left side under Outreach.
- Open your survey from the Survey listing screen.

Create a New Survey or open an existing one.

Click Add Element.
- Then select the Single-Select question type.Field Configuration Details
When adding a Single Select (Dropdown) question, you'll be prompted to set up the following:

Question (Required): Enter the exact question you want displayed to survey respondents.
Example: Which department assisted you today? -
Options (Required): Enter the available answer choices.

Minimum: 2 options required

Maximum: 50 options allowed
Example: Sales, Support, Finance, Technical

- Default Value (Optional): You may pre-select one option as the default (optional).
- Mark Required: Enable this to make the sentiment question mandatory for survey submission.
- Capture Value in Salesmate Field: Map the response to an Integer or Decimal field in Salesmate. The field will update with the customer’s response.
- Once the configuration is completed, hit Save.
Practical Example
Let’s say you want to find out which department assisted a customer during their recent interaction.
