The Number element type is designed to help you capture numeric values from survey respondents. This is useful when you need to collect structured data such as quantities, scores, time durations, or percentages. The field enforces number-only input, ensuring clean, accurate data entry and eliminating errors caused by invalid text input.

Adding a Number Question
To include a Number question in your survey:
- Navigate to Surveys from the left side under Outreach.
- Open your survey from the Survey listing screen.

Create a New Survey or open an existing one.

Click Add Element.

Then select the Number question type.
Once you have selected the Number element, you'll need to provide the following information:
- Questions: Enter the question text that should appear in the survey.
- Placeholder: Enter a short hint or example that appears inside the input field to guide the respondent

Mark Required: Enable this to make the number field mandatory for survey submission.

Capture Value in Salesmate Field: You can map the response to any number-type custom field in Salesmate.
- Once the configuration is completed, hit Save.
Practical Example
Let’s say you've just finished an onboarding session with a customer and want to measure their comfort level.
