Adding a Multi-Select Question to Your Survey
To include a Multi-Select question in your survey:
- Navigate to Surveys from the left side under Outreach.
- Open your survey from the Survey listing screen.
- Create a new survey or open an existing one.
- Click Add Element.
- Select the Multi-Select (Checkbox) question type.
Once you have selected the Multi-Select element, configure the following fields:
- Question: Enter the question text that will be shown to respondents. This is a required field.
- Options: Enter the choices you want respondents to pick from. A minimum of two options is required, with a maximum of fifty.
- Default Value: Select if you wish any options to be pre-selected for respondents. This is optional; the default is none.
- Mark Required: Enable this to make the question mandatory for submission. By default, it is not required.
- Capture Value in Salesmate Field: You can map the selected options to any compatible text-type custom field in Salesmate.
Once the configuration is complete, click Save. The options you provided will be displayed as checkboxes in the live survey, and respondents may select multiple choices as needed.
Practical Use Case: Multi-Select
Suppose you are collecting feedback on employees' preferred methods for professional development. By using the Multi-Select question, you can allow them to select all relevant options such as "Workshops," "Online Courses," and "Conferences" from a single question, capturing comprehensive input efficiently.
