Once the Document is been uploaded, you can then create a link to share it with people and track views.
To Create a Document Link,
- Navigate to the More Icon from the left sidebar
- Click on Documents
- Hover over a document and select the Create Link option under Actions
- A popup will appear with following options,
- Protect with Password: Enable this option to protect the document with an 8-digit password. The password will be generated when you create the link.
- Set the Expiration Date: Enable this option and select the duration after which the link will be marked as expired.
- After clicking the "Create Link" button, the document's link will be promptly generated. Additionally, a button will appear allowing you to easily copy the link. If you've opted to enable the password protection feature, the generated password will be displayed alongside the link.
- When you click on the copy button, it will copy the link as well as password if enabled.
Note: The document is not protected, so once it is downloaded, the password will not be asked. The password is asked only when you open the link.
