The "Rotten Date" feature is designed to help you manage and track your open deals by calculating a specific date and time after which a deal will be considered "Rotten." This feature is particularly useful for keeping your pipeline clean and ensuring that deals are actively progressing through stages without becoming stagnant.
Key Features of the Rotten Date:
Stage-Based Configuration:
- Each stage of your sales pipeline can be configured to determine whether a deal should be marked as rotten after a specified number of days.
- If the rotten calculation is enabled for a stage, the system will calculate a "Rotten Date" as soon as the deal enters that stage.
Rotten Date Calculation:
- The Rotten Date is calculated as the exact date and time after which the deal will be considered rotten if no further action is taken.
- The calculation is triggered every time a deal reaches a new stage or when there is a communication activity related to the deal.
Dynamic Updates:
- Each time there is a change in the deal stage or a communication activity, the system recalculates the Rotten Date based on the new stage’s rotten period.
- This ensures that the Rotten Date remains accurate and reflects the most recent activity.
Automation and Workflow Integration:
- Based on the Rotten Date, you can set up date-based workflows and automations.
- These workflows can trigger actions such as sending reminders, updating deal status, or notifying team members as a deal approaches its Rotten Date.
Filters and Views:
- Use Rotten date field to filter out the deals that bare being rotten or are already rotten
- Add this field as column on Deal List view page
Note:
- The Rotten Date is only calculated for deals with status Open.
- If a stage does not have the rotten period enabled, the Rotten Date will be set to null when the deal enters that stage.
- The system will not automatically recalculate the Rotten Date when the rotten period for a stage is updated.
- Recalculation occurs only if there is a new communication activity or the deal changes its stage
