In Salesmate, you can now define user access at the pipeline level. Customize permissions by editing individual pipelines or updating user profiles, allowing for more granular control over data access and security.
Note:
- The “Pipeline Permissions” feature is only available in Pro, Business, & Enterprise plans.
- You can enable pipeline-level permissions only for modules that have a pipeline. Other modules will continue to use module-level permissions.

Enable Pipeline-Level Permissions
Follow the steps to enable the Pipeline-Level Permissions:
- Navigate to the Profile Icon.
- Click on Setup.
- Go to the Modules Section.
- Select the module with an active pipeline where you want to activate pipeline permissions, such as Deal, and navigate to the Pipelines tab.
- Click on the Activate option for “Enable Pipeline-Level User Access”.
- An alert will be displayed on success: “Pipeline-level access is now active with default permissions. You can customize user access by editing individual pipelines or updating user profiles for granular control.”
- Once you change the permissions from module to pipeline new permissions will take effect immediately. Users who do not have access to a pipeline will be unable to view its records.
- You can change the permissions for specific pipelines by editing them directly or by editing profile permissions.
How to Edit the Pipeline Level Permissions
If you have a lot of profiles, you can perform bulk actions to assign permissions in a go instead of assigning permissions individually to each profile. Follow these steps to perform the Bulk Action:
- Navigate to the Profile Icon.
- Click on Setup.
- Go to the Modules Section.
- Select the module with an active pipeline such as Deal, and navigate to the Pipelines tab.
- Select the Pipeline and click on Edit.
- In the pipeline creation popup, under the Pipeline Access section, you can search for profiles and assign them permissions individually or in bulk.
- Select the profiles to which you want to assign permissions or use Select All if you want to select all profiles.
- Click on the access option for View, Create, Edit, or Delete, and select the desired access that you want to set.
- You get the following permission options for View, Edit, and Delete:

None - No Record
-
Own only - If the Profile User is the Owner of the Record.

Own & hierarchy records - IF the Profile is the Owner and his lower hierarchy records

Any records - Every Record

- You get the following permission options for View, Edit, and Delete:
- Hit the Save button to assign the profile permission to the pipeline.
Disable Pipeline-Level Permissions
Follow the steps to disable the Pipeline-Level Permissions:
- Navigate to the Profile Icon.
- Click on Setup.
- Go to the Modules Section.
- Select the module with an active pipeline such as Deal, and navigate to the Pipelines tab.
- You will see a section called Disable Pipeline-Level User Access.
- Click on the Disable link.
- A popup will appear showing the settings create, view, edit, and delete permissions for each profile.
- You can search for a profile and update its permissions or apply a bulk update to set permissions for selected profiles.
- Once you've configured the permissions, click the Save & Disable button to disable the pipeline permissions and apply the new permissions to the module.
