Salesmate Surveys empower your team to gather actionable feedback across customer touchpoints. Over time, you may want to retire surveys from active use without permanently deleting them. The Archive feature makes it easy to keep your workspace clean while preserving historical data.

How to Archive a Survey
To archive a survey you no longer need in your active list:
- Click on the Survey
- Hover over the Survey Name.
- Click on the Actions
- Click on the Archive
- A confirmation popup will appear asking, “Are you sure you want to archive this survey?”
- Click Yes to confirm.
- You’ll see a message: “Archived successfully.”
What Happens When a Survey is Archived
- Survey Status: An archived survey no longer accepts new submissions.
- Edit Restrictions: Archived surveys cannot be edited.
- Accessibility: Archived surveys are removed from your main list of surveys and instead can be accessed from the special Archived system folder.
- Data Retention: All stats, reports, and past submission data are maintained and remain viewable from the survey’s detail page.
Note:
- You must have Manage Surveys permissions to use the archive and unarchive features.
- If you wish to archive a survey in use (published/live), unpublish it first, then archive.
