Adding questions to your survey is a crucial step in collecting meaningful responses from your audience. Each survey must contain at least one question, and depending on the layout type you choose—Compact or Extended—you can control how many questions appear per step.
Survey Layout & Question Limits
- A Compact survey allows only one question per step.
- An Extended survey allows up to three questions per step.
You can add various types of questions to suit your survey needs. Each question type comes with its own set of configurations, which will be covered in separate articles.
Steps to Add a Question to a Survey
- Navigate to Surveys from the side action bar.
- Click on the name of the Survey to which you want to add an element.
- If you don't have any existing surveys, you can create one. Click here to learn more.
- Click on + Add Element to add an element.
- A side panel will appear, displaying a list of available question types and content blocks.
-
You can also choose to insert questions from the Question Library.
- If the current page reaches its question limit, the added question will automatically move to the last available page or a newly created one.
- Use the search bar at the top of the panel to quickly find a specific question type or content.
- Click on any question title to insert it into the survey. A configuration panel will open, allowing you to customize the question as needed.
-
Once the question is added to the survey, you can:
- Edit – open the configuration panel to make changes.
- Clone – duplicate the question element.
- Delete – remove the question from the survey.
