Salesmate Surveys are powerful tools to gather feedback and measure performance through CSAT, NPS, CES, and more. Depending on whether a survey is in Draft or Published state, the ability to make changes varies. This article outlines the editing capabilities for both Draft and Published surveys.
Topics Covered:
How to Edit the Draft Survey
Surveys that are in Draft mode offer full editing flexibility. You can update everything about your survey questions, settings, logic, labels, and design before publishing.
- Click on the Survey.
- Click on the Survey Name and you can make the changes.
- You have full flexibility to add or remove any type of question, edit question labels and input configurations, or change question types (such as from rating to text) while also being able to reorder steps and questions.
- You can easily modify visibility and condition logic, update the “Required” or “Capture to Field” settings, and enter or change default values.
- Salesmate allows you to adjust question-specific properties like rating scales or emoji types, configure follow-up questions for CSAT, NPS, or CES, and map questions directly to Salesmate fields.
- Additional customizations include design elements such as style (stars, hearts), placeholder text, scale labels, formatting for date and time fields, and even choosing question colors and survey themes, giving you complete control over the survey's structure and appearance.
How to Edit Published Surveys
Once a survey is published, some restrictions apply to ensure consistency and data integrity. While many text and configuration-based edits are allowed, structural changes are limited.
- Click on the Survey
- Hover over the Survey Name.
- Click on the Actions
- Click on the Edit Button.
